A Brief History of lighting

Since 1835 and the first constant electric light, scientists and engineers has continuously altered and improved the design of lighting.

Lighting can be separated in to many different formats and types with a huge variety of applications from safety to science, photography to astronomy.

At BCO, you can see a number of these lights on display including how they work, including different generations and how technology has changed them

At the exhibit you can view:

1. Fluorescent
2. Sodium vapour
3. Halogen
4. LED and LED street
5. Incandescent

in different shapes and sizes.
